How can I get involved?

At this point, our mission is twofold.  Our primary objective is to pay the school fees for Uganda war orphans and refugees. The cost of sending a child to one of our participating schools for one year is between $250 and $300. The ideal donation would be one that would pay for a child for a full year, but any amount is welcome and appreciated.

However, at this time we are also trying to raise funds to help one of our participating schools build its own corn mill.  We feel that this is a worthy endeavor that will allow the school to be financially independent as well as provide a food staple for its students.  Right now, the locals sell their corn (the main crop) to a middle man who then takes it to the city and sells it to a mill.  The mill then sells the processed corn meal back to the growers.  By having its own mill, this school could not only provide food for its students, but it could possibly make a profit and help the local economy by eliminating the costs associated with the middle man, etc.  The estimated cost for this project is $12,000 USD.  Any amount will help us reach that goal.

In addition, we would like to be able to pay our field agents a small amount for their hard work.  These are the men and women who help us determine which children have the greatest immediate need.  They are dedicated and determined friends and  who help us with our efforts without expecting to be paid.  That said, making a living in this area of Uganda is hard work, and we would like to pay them for their time now and again.  If you would like to donate an extra 10% (or whatever you see fit), it would go directly to them.  Please check the box next to the donation button that indicates how much of your donation you would like to go toward this cause.
